This Fall 2022, the ASCCC Accreditation Committee will facilitate a virtual space for faculty to dialogue and reflect on the Accreditation process, the faculty role in accreditation, the Accreditation Standards (Evolution of the Standards), how faculty see themselves and what they do in the Standards, and how local senates can assist in the institutionalization of processes that are supported by current Accreditation Standards.

What impact will the proposed California General Education Transfer Curriculum (CalGETC) pattern have for our courses and programs? What does this mean for our local General Education Patterns for Associate and Baccalaureate Degrees? How might this impact students? And what can we do to mitigate some of the impacts?

Events are free and will be held 10:00AM-4:00PM. The events will be livestreamed for virtual attendance. Lunch will be provided. Virtual attendees will be given information on how to join the event online the week leading to the event.  September 16 – Southern Regional at College of the Canyons, Dr. Van Hook University Center (Room 258)  No parking pass is needed. Rising Scholars and Mellon Grant Regional Meetings

The ASCCC and its Mellon Grant Community of Practice team are excited to announce two regional faculty and one faculty coordinator event (see dates below). At these events, attendees will have opportunities to connect with colleagues and to share ways to build strong communities of practice for faculty teaching in prisons and jails. This is designed for faculty teaching inside; however, all interested faculty are welcome as are administrators and staff!
