2022 Career and Noncredit Education Institute - In Person and Virtual OptionWestin South Coast Plaza |
The 2022 Career and Noncredit Education Institute will be held May 12-14, 2022 at the Westin South Coast Plaza located at 686 Anton Blvd, Costa Mesa, CA 92626. Colleges are encouraged to send teams of practitioners and leaders to include career education (CTE) faculty, noncredit faculty, counselors, senate presidents, and faculty and administrative leaders involved in career education, noncredit education, and the California Adult Education Program.

Using information gathered during the 4/29 Part I webinar, we’ll discuss effective practices for successfully implementing CDCR’s Laptop and Canvas LMS launch. This webinar and discussion are oriented toward faculty and program directors at colleges new to implementation and planning for fall 2022. The second hour of the webinar is intended for deeper dialog about local implementation.

Academic Freedom is essential to student-centered equity and anti-racism work in the California community colleges as identified in the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office Call to Action and the ASCCC Mission and Strategic Plan. The connection between academic freedom and equity is fundamental. Without the rights of faculty to speak, research, and pursue diverse ideas, equity is not possible.
