Theme: Stepping into Vision 2030: A Noncredit Journey

Step into an immersive experience carefully crafted to align our educational endeavors in noncredit with the visionary landscape of 2030. This ASCCC faculty-led experience supports educators, staff, and administrators who are committed to continuous learning and aspire to create equitable outcomes for student success through noncredit education.

Welcome

Welcome Esteemed Colleagues,

On behalf of the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges (ASCCC) and its Noncredit, Pre-transfer, & Continuing Education Committee, I would like to welcome you to “Stepping into California’s Vision 2030: A Noncredit Journey”. Together, we will take the necessary steps to further understand a nontraditional student population, examine noncredit to credit pathways, implement relevant programming, and create a future that ensures equity in success, access, and support for a very diverse student population.

This event is intentionally designed by faculty to inspire creativity, promote promising practices, and cultivate new perspectives by providing attendees with practical tools and resources to address the evolving needs of noncredit education. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in insightful discussions and gain valuable insights in topics including data-driven decision-making, universal design for learning, culturally responsive counseling, disability rights and accommodations, English as a Second Language programs, and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the classroom. These topics are crucial in shaping effective noncredit programs and ensuring equitable outcomes for all learners.

I am excited to embark on this collaborative journey with each of you and look forward to the rich exchange of knowledge and experiences that will undoubtedly shape the future of noncredit education. Let us make this a transformative and impactful experience together.

Graciously,

Kimberley H. Stiemke
