Whereas funding for capital equipment is inadequate for the needs of vocational programs, and
Whereas partnerships with industry are encouraged to allow access to unaffordable capital equipment, and
Whereas there is a considerable cost to industry associated with these partnerships,
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges urge the Board of Governors to seek legislation for incentive programs to encourage greater participation of business in partnerships, and
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges urge local senates to work with their districts to establish local partnerships.
