OER for Literature and Creative Writing Show and Tell Friday, November 4, 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm Register for OER for Literature and Creative Writing Show and Tell Heather Ringo, author of Writing and Critical Thinking through Literature, and Sybil Priebe, author of Write or Left: An OER Textbook for Creative Writing Classes, will share the approaches they’ve taken in shaping and teaching from their texts. Anna Mills will give an overview of other literature and creative writing OER, and participants will be invited to share favorites and suggest improvements and additions. |

This Fall 2022, the ASCCC Accreditation Committee will facilitate a virtual space for faculty to dialogue and reflect on the Accreditation process, the faculty role in accreditation, the Accreditation Standards (Evolution of the Standards), how faculty see themselves and what they do in the Standards, and how local senates can assist in the institutionalization of processes that are supported by current Accreditation Standards. |

Come and discuss with the ASCCC. What does a single transfer pattern mean for our students and our colleges? What impact will the proposed California General Education Transfer Curriculum (CalGETC) pattern have for our courses and programs? What does this mean for our local General Education Patterns for Associate and Baccalaureate Degrees? How might this impact students? And what can we do to mitigate some of the impacts?

Come learn about and discuss faculty roles in General Education (GE) and how Academic Senates and Curriculum Committees should be involved in the process. The new Ethnic Studies requirements for transfer (CSU GE Area F/UC Area 7) and legislative mandates for a single standard transfer GE Pattern California General Education Transfer Curriculum (CalGETC), have made a GE hot topic on our campuses.
